Festival rehearsal - Tuesday November 3rd from 7-9:30 at Lynden Christian HS.
You will be responsible for getting yourselvs there. Car pooling is suggested.

The day of the festival (Thursday Nov5th) we will need two parent drivers preferably with large vehicles to drive students to LCHS departing at 8am.

Because Ms. Reilly and I are required to remain at LCHS we will need close to 6 drivers to pick up students at 4:00 and transport kids back to SQHS so that they can go home and get ready to return for a 6:00 call. the concert starts at 7pm and will be over around 9:30 or 10

Parents if you are available please let me know.

Dear Choristers, we really came together for a fantastic performance on tuesday.

I have been hearing several reviews from Staff, Parents, and Students about how most were blown away by our performance.

Here is the schedule of events,

5pm storm singers rehearse on stage

5:20 concert choir rehearse on stage

5:40 choraliers rehearse on stage

6:00 Mixed choir rehearse on stage

6:15 Round robin on off.

6:30 house opens - choirs get dressed

6:45- warm up and get into place

7:00 concert

Dessert Auction Tuesday at the concert!

Dear Parents and Choristers,

We are in desperate need for something to auction at the dessert auction at the concert this Tuesday.

last year we made nearly $1200. lets see if we can keep besting ourselves by having even more desserts this year.

Womens Fest at WWU

Concert choir women and Choraliers ,

Don't forget that on friday we are leaving at 8:45 and we will be Getting back at 4:15 or so.

We have one chaperone so far and I need one more so if there are any parents out there that would like to be serenaded for a day this would be a fun way to see your student in action.

Winter Concert Date Changed!!!

The winter concert has been changed from December 7th to December 14th at 7pm.

This concert is designed to be an Alumni invitational and if we were to have it on the 7th we would not be able to include several students that would still be at college.

Also please check several of the other new dates. that are on the updated event calendar.

Manditory Practice for Concert

Woman's Choral Festival Friday Oct 23 8:45-4:15

Finally!!!



After taking the men to several specialized events for mens singers we have a festival that offers women a chance to develop their voices and see some great women singers. I am very happy to offer this to the Women Singers of SQHS.

we will leave at 8:45 or so and come back around 4:15. students will need to be picked up a SQHS lower lot at this time.



If you need to pick up your student sooner than that please feel free to pick them up at WWU PAC Just make sure that I make eye contact with you are leaving with your child.



I would like to have 2 chaperones for this event if at all possible. I will contact Denise to help me organize that

zangle Issues

Hey Choristers and Parents.

I have been having Zangle issues so if you or your student have an "F" in choir it may not be totally accurate. we have had 2 assignments, the research paper and "note testing" If they have not turned the research paper in then it is likely that their grade is accurate. To download a copy of the research paper look under "documents" on the right side of the blog. you should be able to download a copy of the assignment there.

Take 6!!!

TAKE 6 AMAZING!

The concert was fantastic. Everyone there had a great time and were musically enriched. Not only was I happy about seeing such a fine ensemble (the best in the world at what they do) but I was so proud to share the experience with my students. It was a real feeling of coming 'round full circle.
Also I was very proud of the way that Storm Singers handled themselves in such a professional, courteous, and helpful way. Doug the concert producer just emailed me with how impressed he was with all of your work.
I hope we get a chance to do more of this kind of thing.

Their new album is fantastic. Get it on Itunes or something. you won't be sad you did.

Update on Several things

Dear Choristers,

There are several things to mention in this update so I'll get right to it.

• The Entertainment book sale has been extended to Oct 8.

• All State Auditions have been going very well. I will be having one more audition session after school on Monday for those of you who had conflicts with the other dates.

• TAKE 6 Concert!! Friday the October 9th is quickly approaching. STORM SINGERS, I met with the producer of the event on friday and he is excited that we are coming up to help out. please make sure you have signed up for a job so that I can email him with the final numbers. If you know any one who might enjoy this concert please let them know that this will be something that you MUST NOT miss.

• The concert choir retreat originally scheduled for October 10th has been postponed to a later date. I will work on trying to find a better date in November.
