First Booster Communication of the Year

Hi to all Concert and Storm Choir Parents -

We enjoyed a very informative Booster Club Meeting last Thursday the 22nd, had a good turnout and we were able to secure volunteers for most of the needed positions.

We do however need someone interested in taking the lead on the Choir Program that is usually sold at concerts beginning in mid December. The previous Chairperson is willing to work together and teach the new chairperson everything they need to know and has said it was fun and easy :) This was done in a Publisher Program and printed locally. Ideally a couple of parents would work on this together. Please reply to this email with any questions you have and we will make sure to get them answered quickly...thank you in advance for your help with this.

Because the Choir Tour is planned for 3/29-4/4, with the first payment due to the ASB office by this Friday the 30th, we focussed a lot of our meeting around the topic of fundraising that can take place between now and February.
Fundraising ideas that were discussed, or are already underway:
- Dessert Auction - same night as the 1st concert - October 25th - Dianne Boyd

- Working with the Band / Orchestra on an auction
- Selling Entertainment Books - now
- Cabaret - January ?
- Lynden Jazz Festival Ticket Sales - early October

We hope you'll be able to attend the next monthly meeting on October 20th @ 7:00 pm - Dianne Boyd's house. We plan to keep all meetings to one hour!
