Dear Parents,
We have been discussing in concert choir the possibility of
going to Disney land this year for choir tour. I was not planning a large tour
this year but there has been lots of motivation from the students to look in to
this. Here is how it would look.
March20-23
Leave after school on March 20 and fly to LA
Hotel....Fairfield Inn which is across the street from Disneyland (Students in Quad/Chaperones in Double)
3 Day Disney Performing Arts with one workshop and one performance per student.
3 Disney Meal Coupons
University Clinic (Hopefully at USC where we have some alumni)
Bus for group transportation in California
Cost on Alaska Airlines for package is $865.00 per student and $435.00 per chaperone with Director Free.
I would like to make a vote tomorrow to see if we can realistically make this happen and if there is motivation from the parents as well as the students.

We may be able to offer as many as 3 scholorships or 6 ½ scholerships
to students depending on how fundraising
goes.
With hard work I think that we could realistically fundraise
1/3 of the cost.
Disney theme parks do an incredible job with choirs. We would
most likely qualify for a feature performance at the park and we will definitely
get a clinic with a Disney studio professional and possibly even get to do some
recording. Then there is the theme park and that would be a lot of fun.
Please let me know if you would like to pursue this option
or to consider a tour to Seattle or someplace closer.
The first payment of $200 would be due December 1st
and the final payment would be the end of January.
This is short notice and expensive but I thought I would
throw it out there and see what happened. Please discuss it with your student
and be ready to have them vote tomorrow.
Please know that no student will be allowed to go without passing grades in all their classes. This can be a problem if you and your student have raised a lot of money and then cant go because of grades.
In Harmony
Marshall
